I bet this 80Gb is not the Zif type. How did you managed that ? What you did with the connectors ?

Yea, some of these portable rigs can easily reach near a thousand bucks.

Ipod - 250
Custom Mini Dock - 30
Custom Interconnect - 80
Portable Amp - 200
IEMs - 200

That's what I'm using...ouch.

I'm sure someone has a setup like this:
iMod - $425
Custom ALO Dock - $190
RSA Hornet - $395 (shipping and batteries)
UE 10 Pros - $950
Total: $1960

Nick you forgot the bag to carry all that stuff in (which I include just to take you over the $2,000 mark)!

Then why not think:

iRiver H140 - $300
Optical Cable - $20 (low balling too)
Headroom MicroDAC - $300
Custom IC - $50
Larocca PRII - $500
UE 10 Pros - $950

Total : $2150

And you have to account that some people spend more the the optical and mini IC's.

A mere pittance for quality audio on-the-go.

I'm ashamed to put my portable rig up. =[ I kid, I've posted it before, and will update in a week or 2 when I receive my Yuin PK1 and PK2's. And possibly a MisterX XP amp if I like it enough in the next few days.

Err... you did mean the UE10Pro right? People who have such incredible equipment will spend at least $100-200 on interconnects

Replace the LaRocco PRII with a Rudistor NKK-01SE ($1,303) + fancy interconnects and we have a $3k+ transportable rig.

I got a new interconnect and should post it up with my X5 shortly.

Stole this off Drew (Moon Audio)'s website. Beat this - I bet this one is bigger than yours!

Who said size didn't matter?

Er, I don't consider that portable. I don't even consider what I listed in my previous post portable. I feel portable is out the window once you can't fit it in your pocket anymore.

*Yes, I did mean the UE 10 Pros. =T

RSA Tomahawk- $325
