Barely. I haven't compared it to my full-sized ipod yet, but I barely notice it. It really doesn't bother me at all. I probably wouldn't even have thought about it if it weren't for the issue being addressed everywhere. I bought the shuffle thinking it would sound bad with my ue-10's because of the hissing, but it is really much better than I expected. It's perfect for working out and as a complimentary ipod, so I love it.

My 80GB iPod has a minor hiss only audible when no music is playing.

Did you read the text message?

It seems like the picture is an excuse for a little locker room bragging. Forgive me for misjudging you if this was not your intent, if it was, then you've been called out.

Pretty obvious that it was his intent. Probably a fake text too

My current setup, an 8GB 2G Nano and E4c. It has replaced my old Zen Micro and e2c. The e4c is very noticeably cleaner and tighter while the Nano adds some sparkle that the Zen Micro is missing.

I have a single piece line out dock but am lacking a portable amp. I am currently looking at the GoVibe 6 as the Tomahawk is currently out of my price range. I am just concerned about battery life and size.

I got the Nano off of a fellow Head-Fi member and my brand new (factory replaced) E2c and Zen Micro should be showing up in the for sale forums shortly, if I ever get around to reaching 50 posts, as I mostly just lurk here.
