After almost two years on Head-Fi, I think I've finally got the right portable setup for my ears: 4G 60gb iMod iPod to ALO Jumbo Cryo to Supermacro IV to UE-10pro.

I'll just copy and paste from another thread I posted this pic in:
"Thought I'd post a pic of my new killer portable setup. It sounds great and is so low profile I barely notice it on myself. Extremely happy"

Oh come on, just sell off some of your stuff! That's what I did... Actually I got rid of my entire setup to rebuild into what I have now. But of cours, winning the lotto won't hurt!

BTW Do you find there to be a noticeable difference between the regular ALO Cryo and the ALO Jumbo Cryo?

you're almost there, milkpowder! btw, you should just put in your order now!

you know, i've been asked, through pm's, alot about comparisions between the regular cryo and the jumbo cryo. to me, it was worth the extra $$$. the sonic improvements are there. i can't pinpoint or verbalize what the improvements are, but i can say that a veil was lifted. everything sounds more clear and clean. to my ears, there was a 10% improvement from the regular cryo, YMMV....

i ordered the jumbo cryo the minute i saw it on ALO. i want the best cable i can get my hands on. if that's your mentality, then its worth the $$$. otherwise you should just get the copper dock and be rid of temptation!

Little update on my portable rig. My TurboDock got company:

A Qables Line Out Cable, U2 Special Edition. Really nice build quality.
The Qables will be for portable use, whereas the Turbodock will be used to connect the iPod to the Aria (when i'm too lazy to switch CD's

Aluren, my portable rig is very similar to yours, same source and ears, and i'm considering a cryo purchase. i'm going back and forth on the choice between mini to mini or dock to mini. from my understanding you'll get a better sound from the dock, but i've noticed with my copper dock that you loose custom adjustments on song volume controls, so i'm torn. how did you come about choosing the mini to mini?
