i'm quite annoyed because each have their pros and cons, i just want to take the zen vision's divx compatibility, drag & drop, zune's UI, screen and shove it into the ipod's body.

Depends on how you define "portable". I don't listen to this set up while I'm running or walking. But I do carry it around nearly everywhere I go.

It is a 100% battery powered set up, though.

I gave up on cramming everything into a tiny non-upgradeable enclosure.

So, in my tiny laptop (tablet PC) I can install any UI from any player I want (I currently use Foobar 2K for music), and I use WMPlayer 11 with all the codec trimmings. I can watch 720p HD videos as well. Of course that burns battery life faster than just listening to music.

I'll have an even smaller portable computer set up as even cheaper and faster UMPC's are eventually released.

Yeah. "Amblin" was on spot with the camera. The lens was just a Nikon 18-135mm lens. 55-200mm doesn't really get me that close with surfing, so I hoped to replace the kit lenses with one all around zoom, and get a 70-300mm for surfing. Now I've decided to just sell my whole D40 setup so I can get a D70. I want to take advantage of my SB800's wireless flash, and I hate not being able to use all AF lenses. Too bad they sell so damn fast on craigslist.

BTW, how did you find out it was a D40? I know when the most recent Harry Potter book leaked, they found out what camera he/she was using, including the serial #, but I never bothered trying to read on how. Thanks.

That is indeed a very good deal for those three players. Did you buy them broken and just fix them up?

yeah, although there wasn't much tinkering involved. the ipod had a broken screen, the vision:m had the battery problem and creative replaced it but the zune was the best, it only needed charging (the original owner was very impatient and never gave it enough juice to power on and sold it as new).

JPEGs from digicams store EXIF info. Most image viewer apps (like Irfan View or ACDSee) can display that data. We know where you live!

(I use an app called Exifer to delete or fake EXIF data, if needed.)

I wish it wasn't so bright...even with Rockbox, you can turn it off entirely, or leave it on.

All I need now is a LOD. Not in the picture are my Shure E3c IEMs and my Alessandro MS-1, which are very rarely used outside the house.
