Bedroom rig.
This is what sets on the nightstand.

And this is what it is connected to.

This was taken before I got my Cardas headphone cable. The META42 is connected to the Denon via Nordost Solar Wind 2meter IC's.
I have found that Corvettes improve the sound and control jitter better than any box or block of wood.

Silly story: Before I set my rig up on the shelf, I'd listen through the computer's cheesy output jack. Well, one day I got shocked! A little static shock, but it surprised me. Then it happened almost daily over the next few weeks.. I'd get a little static shock on my ear! What? I thought there may be a short. After the rig was set up, there was no more static. No short? Sometime after setting up the rig at work, I took it home on vacation. The first day back I just brought the headphones, and listened to the laughable computer jack. Shocked again! You armchair Sherlocks.. what was the issue? (I am not certain, but I THINK I know!) My answer below...

Yeah, this is my ever-improving, not-quite-there, listen-all-day-at-work system. W2002, HA-4 and an old Apex1500 DVD player as my source! It's a step up from the computer jack.

I think it's because the silk cord touched
the floor sometimes. In the current setup,
this doesn't happen.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Well, I've been wanting to take some pictures of my gear for awhile but I'm stuck with this crappy webcam at disposal. View at your own risk, I will try and get some bearable pictures up soon.

Yeah, my trunk is really thick. Err, the tree's trunk is I mean. I have not had the chance to measure it yet, but I would estimate that at its widest point, it is about 8 feet wide....it covers three houses. It is a fig tree. Twice a year my porch is covered with an inch thick mat of figs. It sounds like someone is dropping rocks on the roof 24 hours a day...it is not too cool at that point. I see it as good karma though...anything that old has to have a good aura or something.

Wow. Any problems with the roots and the foundation? Wonder how old the old beast is?
