When did they ever say that it was a 3-way design? They always were careful to state that it is a "triple-driver" design. There is a difference. It was even explained pre-release that the design features 2 bass drivers that cover the same frequencies. You need to read more and understand more before accusing people of lying.



BTW, I don't even own anything from Shure. If anything I am happy with my Etymotics, but what's right is right.

Dude, there ain't enough space for 16" subs... Had there been enough space, there's no doubt Shure would toss in some diamond tweeters and kevlar midranges

Sounds great on the E500! Like 'em more on the E500 and HD650 than the K701.
