If there is already a thread on this, I apologize, but I didn’t see one.
A simple and effective way to get “USB-style” audio transfers from a PC to a DAC wirelessly; effectively making USB filters and $$$ boutique USB cables obsolete for some applications. I don’t have one and never heard this though!

I’ll just leave this here........

I've been seeing this unit being discussed on a few other sites. I'm really interested in it along with the pi 4. It's just too confusing for a novice like me.
I'd like to get away from laptops and PC's to stream Tidal.
This little gadget with a touchscreen monitor would be fabulous.
Can anyone explain how this exactly works? Can I order it already working in a case?

Cheers!

I'm actually waiting for the mercury from the same maker. Nothing to put together just plug and play. They should be releasing it soon.

Ill look into it. Good to know its possible.

Took about 30 min to put together and start up volumio with qobuz streaming. Had a good time with my son introducing computers.

Did not get a chance yet to really listen, family matters took priority.

Well ive been listening with pi2aes for about a week now. My previous setup was usb from laptop to dac.
Now qobuz via volumio via pi2aes, no more laptop. Aes to dac.

The aspect I noticed straight away was the blacker background. I thought I had a nice quiet background with my laptop, but I was wrong.
Like going from LED tv to OLED.
With that microdetail that was being smothered in the low volume, was now noticeable. But only if the recording had that microdetail. Compressed metal and pop had no benefit.

The pi2aes is a nice upgrade for me and its staying. However if I was spending thousands of euros on a streamer and all I got was this improvement I would be disappointed.

Volumio is a bit buggy and sensitive to setting changes. starting playback takes way to long. After I dialed in my settings the user experience improved. Really dont want to go to roon, as its alot more expensive and i wouldnt use 95%.
