These have already made it onto Innerfidility's "Wall of Fame".  They look like they are going to be another "bang for buck" performer in the sub $100 category (similar to Ostry's, Tenores, etc.).  Anyone have any impressions of these yet?  Supply looks very limited right now.  Hope they become widely available.

I doubt that there are fakes on these yet.  The going price on ebay is around $38 to $40 so the DX price is not out of line.

I would say that I'm totally agree with innerfidelity. However, they are source depend, to drive them well you need a good source with good SNR. They sound good with Fiio X5 for example, but not good with iPhone 4s-5s. With iPhones, 4-6 khz is very peaky for my ears and with iPhone 4s at 65-75% volume high frequency start to harsh. I haven't tested them on Android devices yet.

I got the TX1s here in Australia for 39.95 as an introductory price (just released here)
I've been using it primarily with my Walkman A15 and also the Touch4G with FLACs and ALACs. I have to use the largest tips though. I find it pretty comfortable.
Pretty impressed with it so far.
Bass with authority, vocals are mildly recessed but clarity is very good overall. Bass only a problem if high volumes and if the song literally does have alot of bass.
No regrets on the purchase of this. Cable hitting sounds are annoying, but if I just sit down and listen mmmmm I'm in happy place lol.
Wonderfully airy and separation is great.
Large driver IEM's are so hard to come by nowadays, in the land of down under at least.

Has anyone tried some aftermarket tips for these? I find the provided ones pretty uncomfortable.
Comply website do not list the Tx1 / Tx2 in their tip finder unfortunately.

Yes, I've tried quite a few. I'll post picture and link to my favorites tomorrow when I'm at the computer.

Feel free to remind me if I forget it

Anyone suggest a similar iem with the same overall presentation as the Tx1/Tx2 but with no spike around 5 khz?  I like the signature but it can become harsh on some tracks...

Thanks for sharing! Since you are linking to Sennheiser CX series replacement tips, does that mean that most tips will fit the Philips TX series? I'd like to try some foam / memory foam tips for increased comfort and noise blocking.

Yes, most regular tips (with the same size hole as the ones I linked) will fit them despite of the strange design of the nozzle.

I realize they're not in the same price range, but has anyone had a chance to compare these to any of the iems in the Dunu Titan series?

Interesting question, I'll try to find the time to compare them with the Titan 1 tonight or tomorrow.

I finally found some time to compare the TX2 to the Titan 1 and these are my findings:

These two are quite similar in design despite the better materials used on the T1 (metal over plastic in the housing, better cable etc). The similarities doesn't stop at the looks though as they're actually much more similar in sound than the price would suggest.

The TX2 has an overall fuller tone and although midbass is quite similar the TX2 has both more and deeper subbass.

The soundstage in all directions is actually quite similar with a slight upper hand to the T1 in width.

The T1, being brighter, feels a bit more airy in its presentation and its brighter tone also gives a perception of better clarity. Micro details are also pretty similar on both.

I must say that the fuller presentation of the TX2 gives them more natural sounding vocals (especially male) compared with the T1. The TX2's midrange is also a bit more forward compared to the slight v-shape on the T1's.

Both have great treble extension and both can also get a bit "hot" in the treble (siblance), the T1 more so though.

I really don't feel as if these perform on different technical levels but rather slightly different signatures making personal preference the deciding factor on which to choose.

If you like a more forward midrange, more subbass and a slightly fuller sound go with the TX2. If you fancy a brighter sound with a more airy presentation, better clarity and don't mind a bit hotter teeble go with the Titans.

Hope this helps :)
