Yeah they are, but I had them laying around, so I used them.

The more I use the SHP9500s the more I like them.  Recently upgraded my phone so I got to root my old Galaxy S4 and install Viper4Android.  This setup makes the 9500s a rockin' set of cans.  Gave $54 for them new off ebay.  Worth every penny.

The SHP9500 do seem to like Samsung phones. My Note 4 and S6 edge+ both rock with these.

My upgrade was the regular Galaxy S6.  Having trouble with the sound settings.  Want to use Noozxoide.  However, it won't stay activated for some reason.  I even disabled SoundAlive.  Anyway, I guess that's a topic for a different thread.

So whats the go to replacement pad on these? I tried doing the mod and like others one side came out fine the other side of the glue was pretty weak and messed things up, had to just rip off pads im pretty bummed about that, I wanted to hear these in their modded glory, I even picked up mine up after all the sales for 110 on ebay from korea Ive seen people mentioning the HM5 pads any other suggestions?

Alpha pads and Audeze Vegan pads fit

Sorry yes alpha dogs, and I haven't seen any other pads other than HM5 pads going on the shp9500.

Prices were running @ about $120 for the last few weeks on the SHPs but they have now come down to $70 from Amazon.
