Philips $80 Grado $100

How would these compare to one another? The 890s look rather nice, but I know that the Grados have great sound too. Anyone that has heard both?

The Grado SR-60's are $69 from Headroom, unless you are from Canada.

While I haven't heard either, I can only ASSUME(read: opinion derived out of thin air) that the Grados are better. On one side we have a mass market eletronics company and on the other a small family run company specializing in a "niche"(you like that don't you?) market. Usually the little guy comes out the winner in a case like this, though the phillips does look comfortable. I wouldn't mind hearing them sometime.

They sound completely different.
The only way you'd be able to decide which is better is by hearing both for yourself.

SR-60 for $100 is way to expensive! You can get much better value if youlook around. For $80 Philips would be better!

Infact the grados are $150... I live i Sweden.
