Philips Fidelio L2

guys, do you think it's possible to find a replacement cable for L2? i've been searching on web for a while now and have not seen anything for sale, from Philips or 3rd party..

The L2 cable is a basic 3.5mm to 3.5mm or mini to mini TRS cable. In looking for a replacement or in having them made, do note certain casings for the 3.5mm may not fit if they are too chunky to fit with the L2's entry area.

Probably fine, though it may leave you wanting in the durability department if the reviews are to be believed (the more critical ones that is). Personally I always go with an angled plug as I find these last me way longer.

Well done for setting that up, looking forward to your impressions.

Thanks!
It'll be interesting to know how this group finds the Fidelio L2's technical ability.
Personally, I really like the clarity and detail. Will be posting my review soon...

I personally enjoy the tonality and soundstage depth. You can make the most of out of those angled drivers by situating the L2 slightly forward so your ears would be slightly resting on the back of the earpads. Also worth of note is not making the L2 too tight on the head which I found to make the sound brighter. I also find the L2 to be quite responsive of upstream gear albeit without changing its own signature.

I have no experience with changing cables though.

has anyone tried this against the new sennheiser momentum over ear?

Yes I have the Momentum over ear. They are both great headphones, however I personally prefer the L2. It is brighter and has a more immediate fun sound. I would say it doesn't have a much bass as the Momentum, but the L2 isn't bass light, it hits hard in all the right places. I also find the L2 more comfortable, although it does still have some pressure on the top of the skull for me. The L2 doesn't isolate as well as the Momentum and they are a little heavier. The big winner for me with the L2 is it's more forward treble and great detail.

We all agree that the L2 is better than the Momentum, but I think retiredat21 was asking about the new Momentum M2.

Ah yes, I missed the 'New' bit. Sorry ignore my post then. Would actually like to hear what the comparisons are myself.
