Philips Fidelio L2

L2 has slight midbass and subbass boost, but it is tight enough not to bother me. The uppermids and upperhighs are also a bit emphasized, but extremely non fatiguing (I'm very sensitive to treble)

And the treble sounds realistic enough for the price point, the whole sound doesn't sound artificial to me at all.

Although I have to say that the Ostry KC06a with KZ WHIRLWIND tips has more clarity, while being as smooth. But that is the only thing they're better at. They broke today, and I've switched back the Philips L2, and L2 basically does everything better except clarity.

BUT they're nicely clear own their own, it's just that the KC06a with the WHIRLWIND tips are exceptionally clear, especially for that price.

L2 and the KC06a are currently my preferred headphones! :)

I'm in the market for new pair of headphones and still can't decide between L2 and Sennheiser Momentum M2.
I read people liked better L2s over Momentums but I could not find any comparison between L2 and newer Momentum M2 (over ear) model.
Which one will be better for genres like IDM (ie Lusine) or electronic/instrumental (ie Bonobo)?

Also I found two models of Fidelio on amazon:
- L2 (https://www.google.pl/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0ahUKEwi-h4ugx-PKAhVF1ywKHSOOBuMQFggeMAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.amazon.com%2FPhilips-Headphones-Incoming-Function-Microphone%2Fdp%2FB00F4P7NG0&usg=AFQjCNFa5TSwPwrENAaGB0Dql_BQS5jt2Q&sig2=Vsu_Bfz7u-ZPZNTL1pmfCg&bvm=bv.113370389,d.bGg)

- L2BO (http://www.amazon.com/Philips-L2BO-27-Headphones-cushioning/dp/B00WTQDV5E)

Price difference between these models is quite significant but I cannot find any difference between them (aside from first being imported from Japan). Are there other differences?

The L2 is amazing, you won't be dissapointed by them.

The one you flagged as L2BO is sold by Amazon.  The other is sold by over-seas 3rd party sellers.  Same headphones.  Though there may be some question to validity of any warranty with the over-seas sellers.

The L2 is more comfortable (larger ear pads). It has more treble and bass. Overall they're not that different. If brighter headphones bother you (as they do me) you won't like the L2 as much, you're better with Momentum over ear. If Momentum 2.0 had larger ear pads, I'd have kept the pair I had. If the L2 had a bit less treble, I'd have kept those as well.

The L2's are bright, but they're not harsh in the least.

I found a store where I could compare Momentum and Fidelio.
After listening to both models I decided to get Fidelio L2.
They sound amazing as advertised. Sound is fun and lively but very accurate as well. It's a very good upgrade from my previous model - ATH M50x.
Thanks for all your input :)
