I did see another pet thread, but the last post was from 2006 (the thread originated in 2004), and I'm not 100% sure on the necromancy rules on this forum.

Nevertheless, let the cute, cuddly, and interesting animals commence.

My dog (Shetland Sheepdog) back home, Basil (with a guest appearance of one of my roommates/ex/on-off/I don't even know anymore/girlfriend):

I've been contemplating getting a hedgehog. I really miss my dogs since I've been in college but don't have the time to watch over another dog. Unfortunately, California doesn't allow hedgehogs... I might grab one from a friend who lives in Vegas. How difficult is caring for a hedgehog?

Fairly difficult, actually. The main thing you need to ask yourself is "Do I have patience?". If you don't, then you're in for a bad time. There are a few forums dedicated to Hedgehogs, look there first.

And as much as I appreciate the comments/compliments on the pets, go and post yours!
