I'm probably going to buy some denon 2000's soon, and I was thinking of getting a Penguin Amp, either the "Caffeine Ultra" or the "Royal." Does anyone know why the Royal costs more, other than the big caps? And, do big caps really make much difference? It seems like the Caffeine has more features (bass boost) for about half the price, and about the same sound quality. Am I wrong about this? Is the caffeine a no brainer over the royal?

most people like the caffeine or buy the caffeine over the royal. as to specifically why, i do not know, but most people that buy either of those two buy the caffeine one. so i suppose its more popular.

is there any amp priced similarly to the caffeine ($70) that sounds as good, portable or not? I don't even care if it's portable, I just want something for my desk at home, and I don't feel like breaking the bank at the moment.
