could these be used with portable USB DAC's like the bithead, overture, and (new) porta corda? You may need to install a driver, not a whole lot of them support USB-host locally (but many more do via a compactflash adapter), and storage is a whole 'nother issue. Has someone tried this out or was it discussed in a thread I couldn't find? Does someone already have a bithead and a PDA that could try this out?

Some of the ones that have it are Toshiba e350, e550G, e740, e750, e800/e805, and e830, Acer N30, Loox 720, Asus A730. Seems they all have an "ipod"-like flat connector on the bottom and must connect to regular USB devices by adapter or dock. I have read plenty of accounts of hard drives, keyboards, mice, digital cameras, etc. being used through the USB, so why not a bithead? Here's some reviews

I have a palm, and wondered the same thing. For the palm, I never found a program that would stream music out the USB port, and I don't have the time to try to figure out how to do it myself.
I got a laptop for work anyway, so I just use that instead.
