I have searched everywhere for a solution to my problem and can't find anything I don't know if it's a bit out of subject to ask this here but I'm going to give it a shot!
What I want to do is basically use a laptop as a "wireless sound card". I have an old dell laptop that is always on and it's close to my stereo. That dell is connected via wifi to my primary laptop, a VAIO. What I would like to do is stream whatever is playing on my VAIO ( not just music: youtube, skype...) to the stereo via the Dell's line out. I know that I can buy a bluetooth receiver, but I guess that the bitrate would be pretty low, and the whole challenge is to do it with what I've got
Thanks in advance!
