Yea I find the D77 too hyped up around here cuz I expected too much before I borrowed my friend's pair and gave it some listening time... even though I do agree they are the best sounding portable cans out there (but I need to wear them with a hat on cuz it screws up my hair and I look weird like that)... And the semi-close nature is good so the music can drown out my nasty singing when I listen to them at home and still knows when my fone is ringing...
