just FYI the 700's and the pannies use the exact same driver  
if I don't like how the pannies sound Ill consider swapping the drivers into my broken HARX700's

Really? because the left driver of my RX700's died last year, couldn't find a replacement.

I don't think you can get the parts from JVC, but are there other sources for drivers in general?

Jvc has only available replacement pads on their site, the only option is to DIY as far as i know. 
 
I would be interested if there's a place where to buy drivers. 

 and not cannibalize another phone.
