So does this amp have particularly good synergy with the e-Q7?

Indeed, they were meant to be paired but works great with other phones as well. I spend an evening listening to the pair as well as with my JHaudios, fantastic.

This thing looks pretty awesome.

I'm assuming it's better suited to just the eQ-7 or other IEMs, or does it handle full-size cans well?

HI Clarinetman

It does, we have found that the mini input drives harder to drive cans much better than the RCAs. Mark if your out there please chime in here.

Yes, I'm here. The mini input drives any headphone I have very well. The RCA input would be suited for very sensitive headphones. The volume control nob tactile control is excellent !!! This Amp is very high quality in a small package.

Sorry, I'm still a noob.

Why would the RCA inputs be different from the mini-input?  Why would you design an amp that way?  Is it the same for other amps as well?  Does my Amphora amp push harder using the mini-input?

Funny...

Thanks,
CJ

This amp doesn't take batteries, correct?

If this is the case how would I go about powering it since i'm in Australia.

Hey Deniall

Correct it is only AC no batteries. You can get a charger for it to work 220, I can help you locate that.

The Amphora amp has no difference with using the mini to RCA inputs, honestly I am not sure why the little Ortofon does that with its inputs. They both sounded great to me.
