I'm interested in buying the Ortofon's but first I'd be glad to see some pictures of someone actually wearing them to see how they look like. How deep they go, how much they stand out etc. I've spent quite some time searching for such pictures (both through head-fi & google) but could not find anything

Anyone that could help?

After finding out that my ear canals were not large enough for the ortofons I'm now looking for alternatives for rock and metal for 350 usd maximum. For more details look at posts #5 to #7

Here you go. As you can see I can fit them deep and they are very comfortable.

What, >0.9 mm? That's huge indeed. Should I even bother buying the ortofon's if my ear canal is in the 0.7-0.8 mm range?

That's disappointing

I was originally planning to use these for metal (progressive, classic, power & doom) and rock (progressive, alternative, atmospheric). What would you guys recommend instead of the ortofon's?

From the ones I own: IE8 or HJE900. At least for the rock genres you mentioned. I hardly ever listen to metal though.
