SP2000 or Chord Hugo2 works really well.
The former is more analytical with a wider soundstage, the later perhaps more engaging and musical.

Another option is to add a C9 to the pairing.

Asking the question best DAP or best of anything will yield you answers all across the board, all subjective. I am in the SP2000 and the M8 camp. Again everything about this is subjective. I feel AK has the best UI as well as sound. I like the M8 pairing as well.

iirc Vega gold is based on SS. So it there’s a difference between SS and Cu, there should be difference here too.

Yes. Only as an exterior finish. The interior is still SS. I am pretty sure I read this from some official source like the dealer’s page.

M30 is full of bugs and manufacturer didn’t fix them in their latest firmware. It’s a shame they are not giving quality service to M30.

Running bird through PW 2.2-4.4 adapter into Sp2000cu.

For first hour of listening, all I can say is that I am lost in the realm of multidimensional melodies and timbers. The soundstage and balance defy the laws of iem physics. Well done old man.
