How does an individual go about obtaining the original compact disc of an album instead of the newer remastered version? If an album has been remastered are the originals unobtainable?

bowie did the original mix, and it was great...

Iggy redid it, brickwalled the hell out of the mix. It's punk rock as hell, but it sounds like ass. I wish I could get my hands on a cd of the original.
