optical out... but which one?

How significant an effect does the jitter really have though? Is it clearly audible or is it slight and requires critical listening?

I went back and forth a few times between my 0404 and AV710 digital outs and couldn't detect a difference using a NOS DAC.

Jitter Immunity is a relative and a marketing thing.
And I didn’t say the differences are big.
For me they are not small and definitely worth the price difference between the Chaintech and the 0404.
Others are perfectly happy with the Chaintech. It’s not that it sounds bad with it.

That depends on how much Jitter is produced and how sensitive the analog chain after the D/A is.

Which one?
And did you listen with the L3000?

I compared with the DAC1 as well as with the Dodson and both are similar in response.
