Has anyone had to replace their headbands yet?
Mine is flaking quite a bit.

I replaced the earpads already (with sheepskin ones, no effect on the sound!) but now it's the headband's time to go

Vesper Audio can help you with this - for a price you can have a permanent leather headband. They have a good reputation. Am about to send my own off there for this same reason.

My solution was to buy the wrap for the handle of a tennis racquet. Leather is an option, or a variety of colors. I don’t remove the existing headband, just wrap around it. As for cables, I sourced “pigtail” style cables with advertised slim jackets from Monoprice. Don’t know if still available.

Here’s what I was told by them:

“Detailed pricing (in usd) is as follows:

Headband - $39 for wrap type velcro mounted or $65 for workshop mounted (requires sending the headset to us)

Handcrafted custom earpads, all leather, all fleecy materials(vegan), or hybrid, not angled, black, regular foam, are $61/pair.

You can order standard or any custom thickness, angle, opening. You can choose any quoted material for any part of the pads.

Options we offer:

Real whole grain leather:

black, dark-grey, blue, dark blue, red, coral, dark brown, beige, ivory, british racing green - no extra

Any other color for whole grain real leather available as an extra $20 option

Real whole grain leather with not through perforation (black color only) - $3 extra

Through perforation on whole grain real leather (any quoted color) - $19 extra”
