Hello all!

I intend to get a pair of cans but thought I'd seek some opinions before I decide on which of these three.

The cans I have in mind are the Sennheiser HD200,AKG K501 and the Sony MDR 7605.I'll be using it for studio monitoring mostly and anything else will be a bonus.

All opinions appreciated.Fire away guys!

Seriously,

For studio work, the closed-design Sony V6/7506 are one of a handful of standards found in many, many studios, radio stations, and similiar application locations.

Studio monitoring? Get the MDR-7506 or V6 (same headphone). I'm not familiar with the Senns, but the AKG K501s need gobs of power and let a lot of sound in and out.
BTW, Welcome to Head-Fi!

I have had both the Senn 200 & Sony V6. I strongly preferred the V6, in pretty much every area.

I've got the 501 and the v6. While I prefer the 501, for studio monitoring the v6 would be the better choice (easier to drive and no sound leakage).

Hmmmz....anyone comments on the Sony MDR 7509?Heard that it's better than the MDR 7506.

WIth regards to the construct and comfort,it seems better in my opinion.

What about the comfort factor for the V6 and the Senns 200?

Thanks in advance!

I saw a shot of Ollie North doing his radio show. He was wearing a 7506, and his board op was wearing a Beyerdynamic 250 (80-250?).

No.
Get the V6 (not the V600!).
It is the same as the 7506 for much less.
