Hello, i am quite new to these forums and was looking at purchasing a headphone amp for my future Sennheiser HD595s which i will be acquiring in the next couple of days, I have seen a XM4 For Sale in the forums here for $105 shipped with the AD8620 op-amp. Would these two be a good match? Or should I possibly try to go for another amp? Budget $125 Opinions/Recommendations appreciated.

Try the little dot MKII, is very good with stock tubes...and offers future improvements with better ones...it is a bit more than 125$...

I agree with Meliboeus, why get a portable amplifier, the only reason is if your going to have a portable system. The hd595's are already excellent without an amp, no need to waste money on a portable amplifier, if you do then might as well get a desktop amplifier which will help you in the long run, especially if your going to be upgrading.
