As the title states, which open headphones do you reckon would be most suitable for 50% Classical (Orchestral/Chamber)/50% Pop?

Strict budget of £250

I'm guessing either DT880 or K701/2 will be the most popular suggestions?

You think they have a big enough soundstage?

I enjoy listening to classical and pop on my SR225s, though it may feel like it lacks a bit of bass for some pop songs, but I think its a good trade off if I could only buy one pair of headphones to listen to both genres. I can say for sure that I personally do not enjoy pop out of my k702s, but they are great for classical. Since I have not listened to the DT880s, I can not offer an opinion on that.

I would highly recommend the 701's. I have them and they are amazing. From solo piano to full orchestras, classical sounds wonderful. They also handle pop really well but are better at classical. You'll also need something strong to drive them.

Great thanks. I'm hoping the Beresford Caiman will be powerful enough?
