I just received three LM4562 OPAMPS from National Semiconductor ... I'm going to try one in my XM4 as the folks at Practical Devices said it's compatible.
These are MDIP socketed (have the four long legs) and will plug straight into your XM4 without needing an adapter.
They look like this:

This is the OPAMP that folks are raving about in the Mod your X-fi thread ... and overall, for most applications, it's generally considered to be a fairly nice and musical OPAMP.
So if you have an XM4, send me a PM with your mailing address and I'll get one in the mail for you to try out.
I've only got two ... so the first two PM's I get are the new owners.
I don't know if the XM5 is socketed the same as the XM4, but if it is, feel free to jump in if your an XM5 owner.
