Online Radio Stations.

Here are some favorites from Los Angeles:

http://www.kcsn.org/

http://www.kcrw.com/

http://www.kxlu.com/

http://www.jazzandblues.org/index.aspx

http://www.indie1031.fm/

I listen to all five regularly over the air, but they all stream. All of them are commercial free public stations except for Indie 103. However, I love Indie 103 so much that I'm willing to put up with their commercials. That's saying a lot.

If you like country at all, be sure to tune in Cowboy Nick's shows on KCSN and KXLU. He's a friend of mine.

http://concerts.wolfgangsvault.com/RadioPlayList.aspx

there is no other rock & blues radio station like this. no other.

there's some stuff on there you just can't find anywhere else, notably early concerts by The Who, Led Zeppelin, and Lighthouse. the Lighthouse concert is amazing, especially the instrumentals.

i don't know if it's legal or not though. i think they won a court case recently... if anyone finds anything on the subject please tell me.

I assume you're talking about english-speaking radio stations...

Pacifica stations have streams as well as short-lived archives for their music shows (at least the LA, SF, NY, and Houston stations do). You should find links to the individual stations on pacifica.org. They don't play a lot of music (these stations are mostly about politics) but, depending on your musical tastes, you should find a few weekly shows that play interesting music that doesn't get a lot of airplay elsewhere.

KEXP.ORG is a must-see.

It has 2 weeks of archived programming, hundreds of live in-studio performances, and can stream at 1.4 mbps uncompressed.

I love this station. It is in the rotation between Media Monkey and Pandora.

FRAGFM- LOL It depends on what you define as good. Sometimes this radio station has good music, sometimes it sucks big time, depends on the time of day. Sometimes while playing CS its pretty pumping to listen to.
