Hello Friends:

Using the helpful ROM and steps in this post, I was finally able to get my Onkyo DP-X1 going again (after bricking it over a years ago). I just got around to it.

But now I have another hurdle to overcome: Android's Factory Reset Protection

I still have the original Google account and password initially used with this Android device, but it (my Google account) no longer has this Onkyo DP-X1 device as one of the Android devices that I've allowed to access it. That's because I removed it some time ago when cleaning up unused Android devices (... totally not knowing about this lurking FRP issue).

(._.)

So now I can't get past the below dialog screen, even though I tried everything I could find in the web to try and bypass it. (See image below)

Has anyone run into and solved this issue for?

Thank you in advance!

Can't you re-add the device to the old Google account if you still have the account information?

Thank you. Sadly, I already that when I was installing the ROM I found here (just to make sure to start fresh).

And actually that shouldn't fix it because that is exactly the thing FRP is trying to deter: Someone steals your Android device, then performs a factor reset / wipe (from recovery mode), and finally installs their own ROM.

I'm typing this from my phone. First, good luck on your exams.

I haven't looked at the URL you posted (soon), but I'm definitely comfortable with adb, fastboot and loading TWRP (in RAM).

Look forward to it. And thanks! :)

I don't know if there is a solution to this (meaning the problem I stated in the original post),
I have the same problem before. I did try lot of FRP method also fail to work. Finally, I got an answer in a japanese blog. There is a security hole in Japanese input method.
If you keep using English language, you will not found the way to pop up chrome.
Anyone still interest how can raise out here.
I can tell u more detail. But I doubt anyone want to know since DPX1 is so old.
