Kind of another hands-on review, this time in Japanese! (from min 9:50). As far as I can understand some body language, the girl was pleasantly surprised with the sound stage:bigsmile_face:  in the piece by Coldplay. Probably, the advanced members might enlighten us with a synopsis of translation, if there is anything interesting at all. But, in fact, it is just more a chance to have a closer look at the subject itself. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XAMpch2fjto

There is some unconfirmed info that the warranty in Japan is 3 years.

Nice video review!

As I read it, Korea uses LTE 2100 MHZ as Japan does.
google translate http://www.jp.onkyo.com/audiovisual/smartphone/granbeat/spec/#nav
And see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KT_Corporation

You should be ok with a DP-CMX1 in Korea.

You are correct that I need 2100

My carrier:

Name
Interface
B1 (2100)UMTS

LTE

The Onkyo phone:

LTE Band B1/3/7/8/19/26 with Diversity
HSDPA/WCDMA Quad-Band B1/5/6/8/19
GSM/GPRS/EDGE Quad-Band 850/900/1800/1900 MHz

Does not show any 2100mhz Not sure how the bands thing works so that's why I'm asking.  I need to be 100% sure before ordering but at the current price it is very tempting if compatible.

some of early review from the cafe - remember this the translation of Japaneses language

Onkyo's smartphone GRANBEAT DP-CMX1 that was finally announced. I saw the information that you can audition from today, so I went to review at once.

The place is "CAFE SALVADOR BUSINESS SALON" in Kayabacho cafe. When I visited it, DP - CMX 1 was arranged in each seat and was able to audition slowly. There were two heavy machines with three exhibits and nine in the seats, so it is about 15 in total.

I never thought that I could sit down and use it slowly, so this was a nice miscalculation. Since "AWA" of the fixed price music service is installed in advance, you can not change the card, but you can check the sound quality with your favorite song.

Even those who say "AWA is a compressed sound source," I think that there is not much trouble as the genuine music application includes Upper Shiraishi Moose and Globe and Major High Reso Music.

That's easy, but I would like to do a preview review of DP-CMX1!

Review ONKYO GRANBEAT DP-CMX1

From the soft side first. The main difference between DP-CMX1 and DP-X1 (A) is the home screen. Although it is commonplace, since the DP-CMX1 is a smartphone, the telephone application and the camera application are installed. The icon design is minimal and pretty cool. The icon next to the right side of the phone application, like a play mark, is a genuine MUSIC application.

It seemed that the genuine MUSIC application was almost the same as that of DP-X1. The difference between No. 1 and No. 1 is that the volume has become 0 to 60 steps. It was 0 to 160 in DP-X1. I think that this is a place I like and dislikes, but personally I did not feel the problem because 160 was not necessary either.

DP-CMX 1 has two low gain settings (LOW 1, LOW 2), so I do not think there is anything troubling with volume adjustment in 0 to 60 steps. This setting is a pleasing part for people using earphones.

There was nothing that I thought that it changed significantly in UI-like parts other than that. I think that it is the feeling that DP-X1 really became a smartphone.

Continue to the hard side. Personally I was the most concerned about "feeling of size", but hmmmm. After all it is a big deal. It's thick, is not it? It was lighter than I had imagined, so it was good but if it is this thickness it may not be easy to put it in my pocket. Still it seems that it is about 0.8 mm thinner than DP-X1.

 Weight comparison: DP-CMX 1 234 g DP-X 1 203 g iPhone 6 129 g

 Thickness Comparison: DP-CMX1 11.9 mm DP-X 1 12.7 mm iPhone 6 6.9 mm Since the

body design is also angular by way of example, there are things difficult to say that flattery is also good for compliments . Depending on the size of the hand, operating with one hand may be a little tough.

The sound approaches the DP-X1 Quality

What is the sound of the key! Although it is a point, I felt that I am doing my best. It seems that efforts to noise countermeasure and high sound quality are being carried out, such as making audio circuitry completely independent base within the limited space than DAP in terms of smartphones.

Sound sounds like DP-X1 is not as bad as it sounds, and it firmly inherits the characteristics of DP-X1 that it sounds beautiful in a wide space. It's not powerful but delicate way of ringing. Because it is a smartphone, there was no noise and I was able to enjoy it clearly and clearly. (Since the SIM was not pierced at the auditioner, it was the presence or absence of noise derived from Wi-Fi that I could check.)

I tried a comparison with balance and unbalance. The balance that is overwhelmingly better than the unbalance is also like the DP - X1. I wanted the imbalance to work a bit more, but since those who buy this will be for the balance, it may not matter much.

Balancing makes the sound brighter, and there is no loose or ambiguous feeling in imbalance. I felt that the sound was shaky and clearer increased. The difference between the balance mode and the ACG mode is also implemented at a level that you can experience, you can use it according to your preference. I think this is a fun place for this DAP (smartphone).

In general, I felt that I had enough quality as a single DAP. Compared with DP-X1, there was not any part that feels it was useless. (Although it may come out when used, it is a story that it is at the audition level.)

General review

DP-CMX1 is a product that seems to be a smartphone as it is DP-X1. Those who wanted to bring DAP and smartphones together seem to have come up with models that can be said to be favorite at last.

If you do not want to join smartphone and DAP, you can say that it is a product lacking in appeal. Those who buy the DP-X1A will be happier if they buy this forcibly. It is exclusively DAP that is acoustically advantageous.

Still, I think that whether to buy DP-CMX1 depends on "Who can accept this size?" Who is prepared to go on the thorny way that "I want to join smaho and DAP". Especially for frequent phone callers, it may be better to examine this size and weight carefully.

Just because DP-CMX1 seems to be compatible with aptX HD, when I listen to phone or easy, I feel that it will be manageable if I use wireless devices. (Just because I thought that the DP - X 1 's Bluetooth sensitivity was the worst, it might not be good)

So, last. Is it a question of "Do I buy?" Yes, I know. From the conclusion, I should buy it so far. Because of this I have moved to cheap SIM, and I feel that it is convenient to finish with only one set even if it is a bit somewhat deca. (Really?

So it was a DP - CMX 1 audition review! Although it is doubtful whether to buy it on the release date, I think that I would like to purchase it in March, so please look forward to the pillar report!

Oh, I wrote it, I wonder if you really buy it ...?

I am taking motion pictures such as the smoothness of motion, so I'd like to release it on Twitter later. Please also check @ headbank!
