Which Android phone are you using?
It's a 'Iqoo Neo' phone.
Which Android phone are you using?
I really do hope you are luckyThe power requirement will not be the only issue, to be sure! I am sorry that you are having so many issues with yours, and I hope the returns process for you will go smoothly!
I haven't received mine, yet. All of the issues mentioned on this thread do make me a little worried. I'll just have to wait and hope that in my case (Samsung S22 Ultra and iPad) I wont have issues!
My G6 only powers on the Onix sometimes. The USB port on it has always been finicky, so it would be useless for using with a dac anyway. Small movement will make it disconnect. It is a six year old phone so not really a problem in my view.@Shanling FYI, My LG-G6 is not working with the XI1. (Know someone here got theirs to work somehow.)
- Model: LG-H870DS, Android 9, Software Version V30a-HKG-XX , Build number PKQ1.190522.001,
- Screen does not light up, even when holding function button while plugging in USB cable.
- Unit Does work with Windows 11 Laptop. Though I bought this to use with the phone. Thanks
I don't have a cb19. In general, they have a similar purpose, but the cb19 is more limited due to the cables it has. tc28cpro is more variable. This ddhifi adapter works same as ibasso cb19?
It's hardly a matter of power consumption. my experience described above shows that Alpha was able to work with the R4 player, without connecting additional power. Only using tc28cpro adapter.Could it be that certain phones and DAPs simply cannot support high powered dongles? If a dongle outputs a ridiculous amount of power, that power has to come from somewhere, and if the dongle doesn't have a battery then that somewhere is the phone's / DAP's usb port. I do think that dongle manufacturers should advertise a minimum power requirement spec. It would then be up to buyers to confirm if their device meets the minimum spec.
Have you read the situation I described? think logically, what additional power does the ddhifi adapter provide? or it takes energy from the air))It's fair to assume the ALPHAS draw the same power, but they work with some smartphones without the need of additional power, and they don't work with others, so, clearly not all manufacturers are allowing the same power to be drained from the usb-c port.
There are standards that regulate this and Shangling should solve this so the ALPHA can work on the go, like the portable DAC that it is.
I have and I'm glad that it works for you, nevertheless, I also can't explain why my Alpha doesn't work when connected directly to my A52, but when I connect a portable docking station to my A52 and then connect the Alpha to the USB-A 3.0 port, using the usb-a to usb-c adapter in the package, it works, but if I connect it directly to the usb-c port of the same docking station, it doesn't work again.Have you read the situation I described? think logically, what additional power does the ddhifi adapter provide? or it takes energy from the air))
I'm just gonna say that reading this thread for a while and getting annoyed having ordered the Onyx, well it arrived today, it just makes you question the sanity of this community, it's absolutely incredible sound and value, well done @ToneDeafMonk , you sir are of very sound mind and ears
The dongle is tops, what's wrong with people I will never know![]()
I doubt anyone is disputing its amazing sound quality or value. I love it for its sound when it works. But it’s not compatible with everything that Onix has stated. Some people are getting random unexpected noises (hiss or crackles) on some units. Questioning the sanity of people because of this is not cool.I'm just gonna say that reading this thread for a while and getting annoyed having ordered the Onyx, well it arrived today, it just makes you question the sanity of this community, it's absolutely incredible sound and value, well done @ToneDeafMonk , you sir are of very sound mind and ears

It wasn't that, sound was discussed being flat lifeless and lacking dynamics, like WHAT!?Hmmm.. no one here questioned about its sound and such. I have it and really dig it. And luckily, it works for me.
The problem is for many people, it's not working on their respective phones etc. Doesn't connect and associated stuff like that.
Nothing wrong with anyone who spent money and has an opinion.
