It can work with my Xiaomi 13T, using default cable and few other cables. But that's not reliably, most of the time i need to reconnect the cable at least 10 times. Then it suddenly works. Most of the times it wont.

Received mine today. Have about 4 hours into it. I bought it thinking I'd be picking up the Hifiman Edition XS and would need the power, but also wonde4ring if it were true when many people say the Apple Dongle is as good a dac as exists, assuming the 1V power is suffiencie for your IEMs. Well, there is zero difference between the Apple DAC in my MB Air 2020, and the Onix Alpha 1. God damn, Apple knows what they are doing. I suppose you might expect that of a company with the size and engineering expertise of Apple. I can only conclude for like the 100th time that placebo, and confirmation bias are the most powerful forces on earth.
So I have no use for this, or any dongle or outboard DAC, with IEMs, since my MB Air's onboard DAC is world class, but do have a question that would apply if I get the Edition XS and do use the Onix ... \my eqMAC doesn't seem to work when I'm using the Onix. I can play through the Onix, but when I pull up eqMAC, and move the sliders all the way from +12db to -12db, there is no change in what I'm getting. Then when I unplug from the Onix, and go back to the headphone out on my MB Air, the eqMAC works again.
Anyone know why my eqMAC wouldn't output its signal to the USB C port and the Onix?
how are you determining that? Do you have a means of getting an exact volume match when you A/B them? I find even 1db of volume difference makes two identical devices sound different.
These two devices are running completely different DACs and Amplifiers, it's not something we can just switch on/off with firmware update. Maybe for the next model.
