Hi, I am looking for on-ear closed headphones which are best for travelling. Headphones will be connected in mp3 or smartphone. Price should be around 150 USD. I prefer neutral and balanced sound over bass. The genre I listen to the most is metalcore, hardcore (Parkway Drive, The Devil Wears Prada, Architects etc.) so what headphones would be the best for me? Thank you.

The Sennheiser HD25 1 ii are terrific for travel and relatively neutral sounding.

They do run about $40 or so more than your price,
but there's no other headphone quite like them for travel.

A very good neutral sounding headphone in your price range
is the KRK KNS 8400.  However, I think it's a bit large
for travel.  YMMV.

The V Moda M 80 are excellent travel headphones,
but are priced similarly to the Sennheisers and are
not known for a neutral sound.  They're very popular
in their price range; you might like them for the kind
of music you mentioned.  Very well made and
well-sized for travel.

Thank you for your response and tips. :). And what about Beyerdynamic T 50 P? I heard many good things about them. Could you describe me the difference between Sennheiser HD 25 and HD 25 1 II?

Where did you hear good things about the 50? It's not really that good.

I suggest the 1350 from Beyer, the 25-1-MKII or the new 26 Pro. The 26 is very close to the 25, but a bit cleaner and more highs. I personally like the stying of it as well. Pretty high class compared to the 25.
