As a pure guess, i'd say its a D-141,

Yeah, there's a ton of D-121 and D-141's that go up on ebay it seems...

How do they compare to ther "classics"? Would there be any noticable difference over my D-173?

The D121 was (to me) very bright sounding... probably in much the same way as the D25S is termed...

don't look like my d-141. Different lettering, output and mostly different top. But the rest is really similar.
The D-141 is nice, I've a post about it somewhere, I like it paired to the V6s

Ah well, I think my two D-173s will suffice - I just realised what a difference D66s+line out make over D66s+heaphone...
