Hi Folkes,

I own a Grado RS-1 and a Sennheiser HD650 and love them both for their sound charrakeristics.

Last time I switched from one to the other I wondered if there is a pair of cans existing bringing together both cans strenghtes.

Now I am looking for enlightment......

Switching between components on the same tier will almost always involve nearly equal trade-offs, like the whole 650 vs. rs1 thing. Even with higher tier gear part of your evaluation will boil down to personal preferences, but overall the quality level will be higher.

Consider the Qualia 010, R10, L3000, W2002, PS1, HP1000, Omega II, or Orpheus

Alternatively, consider going fully balanced with something like a Singlepower XLR amp.

When you go high end don't forget the source and cables
