I just recently discovered how much I like gin. Especially gin and tonic. I find myself craving it at the most inappropriate times....like breakfast....or church.

From the ones I've tried( Gordons, Bosfords, Tanqueray, Bombay, Hendricks)
I like Hendricks the best. I drink it with two fine slices of cucumber with tonic and ice in a large bowl tipe glass. No tumblers. This kind of glass brings out the flavours and aromas of the gin.

I'm no gin afficionado, but this "New Amsterdam Straight Gin" made for a mighty fine Gin and Tonic last night, and here in ~5 minutes it's going to make another. It must be new (or it sucks compared to other gins), because a 750ml was on sale for $12.

Trying my first gin and tonic tonight. Not too sure what I think yet. Think i need to try a different gin next time. I am using Bombay Sapphire and schweppes tonic and a splash of lime. Not bad just not used to the taste.

Really? Better than Tanqueray? I'll have to try that some time...

I ran out of gin a little while ago, so I am needing a bottle. Especially since I'm reading Oliver Twist and they are constantly drinking gin in the story.
