Here's a question if you wouldn't mind having a stab at it please?
I'm currently running my HiFiMan HE1000SEs from a Mojo 2, but due to everyone saying that tubes are more 'musical', could you describe the effects I'm likely to hear if I use my Mojo 2 as a DAC into the Vali 2++?
I know the V2++ doesn't cost a 'huge' amount but just wanted to know if I would lose anything I currently have such as imaging, detail, soundstage etc. by switching to tube amp.
Colour me curious...

You could lose some of the above or you could gain.
As you pointed out the Vali 2++ is ridiculously cheap and in my view well worth trying.
Before you know it your tube rolling and having fun.
It’s a wonderful time to be in this hobby.
The Mojo 2 at its discounted price of £395 and the Schiit Vali 2++ have got to be right up there with the biggest Hifi bargains of the last 40 years?
Yes you can better them but it’s going too cost considerably more.
If you’re into twiddling around with your sound this is a great little amp and with the Mojo 2 EQ system it’s a match made in heaven.
You can even try a few of the dongles that continuously keep coming out with out breaking the bank.
I can recommend the Ibasso DC03pro and DC04pro with the Vali 2++ for a change .

Hi @rocketron I've been listening to the Vali 2++ for the last couple of days, warmed up and I'm struggling. As someone who owns both the Mojo 2 and the Vali 2++ I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts.
I get a slight sense of a more 'stable' centre image with the Vali but other than that, I'm finding it hard to tell any meaningful difference tbh.
Could you describe the differences you can hear, albeit with different headphones I know?

Hi there.
You’re right about more of a stable image.
That’s because you’re losing some of the openness of the Mojo 2 sound field.
Do you find more of a solid type of sound?
I use the Vali 2++ with Sennheiser HD800S and various Grado type of headphones all of which I use the bigger bowl pads on.
The sound stage is already very wide and open.
The main benefit I find is more of a relaxed presentation.
In a way it’s not trying to impress you as much.
I have only tried 5 different tubes so far and keep coming back to a RCA Electron Tube.
I prefer it’s slightly warmer presentation .
Each of the tubes changes the sound a little.
Some are brighter more open others warmer .
Keep playing the standard tube for a week or two and see if your view changes.
I ran the Vali 2++ in my main Hifi as a pre amp to burn the tubes in .
Played all my music and tv with them for 2 weeks each.
The Vali 2++ isn’t going too better a Mojo 2 it’s only going to alter the sound.
It’s just a case of finding a sound that suits you.
Give it a bit of time then maybe try a different tube?
