Hey Joe,

Wondering if this bug will be included in short term fixes

https://app.devzing.com/FiiO/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=35

Specially the part:
When scrolling up or down a list repeatedly with the scroll wheel or the forward / back buttons, the scrolling speed should accelerate after the user scrolls in the same direction for some time.

Typical case, I have a lot of artist on the list and scrolling to the ones in the middle (those starting with letter M for example) is a total pain.

Hello @Joe Bloggs
following my previous post, I realised that in firmware 1.10 this is stated

13.   Acceleration of scrolling and fast forward / rewind when the scroll wheel is turned continuously or the buttons are held down.

But I have to say this is not working on my X5, nor either with the scroll wheel or with the buttons.

The only way I can scroll faster is if I use the scroll wheel AND the buttons at the same time, which is not easy and it takes both hands to achieve.

I love how ironic it is that a DEDICATED music player doesn't support playlists. Why do you have to sound so good X5!? I'm forced to forgive your shortcomings. But seriously, playlists would be so nice.

Sorry about commenting on the Fiio X5's features on this page, is there a dedicate thread? I know you'd like to keep this thread about planned software updates so I'll make it short.

I would love to have playlist support because of the parties I host. I've spent hours building .m3u playlists for almost every occasion. You asked which DAP is the best in playlist support, honestly, none of them. Even the "golden standard" in UI design, Apple, can't make managing playlists with over 30 tracks feasible. For now, I use Windows Media Player because it has a graphical interface that makes arranging tracks easy.

If I had to choose, my favorite mobile playlist managing solution was Microsoft's Zune. The Zune was truly beautiful in every way except the price tag haha

yes, playlist supports will be included , but please tell us what kind of playlist is the best. or which DAP is the best in playlist support ?

When you say "what kind of playlist" is best, what do you mean? Can you provide an example of the options? (I.e. do you mean m3u vs pls os something completely different?)

we are working in m3u support, but I am worry about that it can not make everyone happy.

I think m3u support is a great first step and more than some of your competitors have achieved. I know that some people would like to create playlists on the device (like the iPod "On-the-go" playlists), but being able to use m3u playlists from a computer is a really great start!!

Hello FiiO folks,

I've had my X5 for about a week now and I love it.  Thanks for making it sound so good.
As you are writing firmware 2.1, would you please consider making the main menu scroll in the same direction as the wheel?  On mine (fw2.0) it is backwards.  The other menus (like scrolling through artists, albums or songs) work fine.  Clockwise makes the selector go down.  But why on the main menu does clockwise make the selector go up?

Thanks for checking it out.

I know is being mentioned in some other threads, but I don't see it on the list of official plans for upgrades. Is there something being done about the limitation on the number of files the library is able to support?
Thank you in advance for your responses.

I know it is not the official Fiio release, but on the meantime there are some modded firmwares here :

A couple of them addressed the reverse scrolling, so maybe you can use one of them  until this point is addressed by Fiio.
