Official NYC area / Regional Fall meet, November 15th, 2014 - Stamford Sheraton
 
This years NYC Metro Area Fall meet will be held at the Stamford Sheraton in Stamford, CT. There should be plenty of room for at least 100+ people. We have 2 adjoining rooms and 3rd if we need it, so there should be plenty of room for all. The room is called Davenport and it's downstairs.

As usual, all Vendors and Members are welcome.
Donations are welcome to help cover cost of the room, but are not required to attend.
Donations for the "Not so Silent" auction are greatly appreciated. Also, a volunteer to run the auction would be greatly appreciated.

Meet will be from 9:00am until 5:00pm on Saturday November 15th, 2014.

VENDOR SETUP 8:00AM

BUY/SELL Corner - I’ll have a pad and pencil set up where one can let others know where they’ll be located within the meet area.

Please reply to thread if you intend on attending. Include a list of gear you are bringing. If you plan on coming and your name is not on the list please PM me or post in the thread and I’ll add you.

 
Meet Rules
  1. Please treat fellow head-fiers, vendors, and their gear with the utmost care and respect.
  2. Do not unplug headphones without asking permission from the owners first.
  3. Do not turn anything on or off without asking permission first.
  4. Do not move anyone's gear from their established area without asking permission.
  5. Absolutely no food and drink will be allowed near any equipment including your own.
  6. Please have courtesy and ensure that your hands are CLEAN before handling other’s equipment.
  7. Be mindful of the time you are spending listening to vendors and others’ gear especially if there are others waiting in line.
  8. Be mindful of personal hygiene. DO NOT use hair gel or other product that may damage or stain a headband or earpads.

  9. Please use common sense! To repeat the most important rule: treat fellow head-fiers, vendors, and their gear with the utmost care and respect.

 
While there should be plenty of power, be prepared to bring what you need in terms of power strips, extension cords, etc.

Some things to note: 
Parking is complementary for the day. You must go to front desk to get ticket.


Also a block of 10 rooms are available for $99/night plus tax from Friday the 14th until Saturday the 15th. Please call 1-800-325-3535 and request the “Head-Fi” group rate.
Food options: The Sheraton has a restaurant. Also, a short drive away there are plenty of food options. Also if walking, the mall, a few blocks away has food options.

Hi everyone. I'm a noob looking to explore (and acquire) high end headphones. Currently, I use Beyer DT 770 Pro 80s for home and Ety ER-4PTs for travel. Since I have nothing particularly interesting to share, is it all right to come to the meet to listen and learn?
