This one's pretty close too:

...but Tom would know better, especially for those "short stay daytime rates"

Thanks for the suggestion guys, I think I'm going to rope a fellow NH'er (maybe two) in for the trip so I think a hotel is the way to go.

As of now, count me in! I've kind of gotten away from headphones and into speakers........I now have as many pairs of speakers as I do headphones

........., so hopefully this will bring me back a bit.
I'm looking forward to seeing old friends and meeting new ones. And, of course, listening to some great gear.
Thanks for setting this up, Tom.

I will try my very best to come to my first Head-Fi meet and be the/a token female. I might be asking some stupid/n00b questions about meets as Nov 10th draws closer.

you probably won't be the only female there. My wife attends meets with me sometimes, Ray often travels with his wife, as do some other members. And you aren't the only female that's actually a Head-Fier! you just might be surprised... you might not though.

Unless I land a ridiculously high-paying job up here (not likely), I am seriously looking to be in the DFW area by the end of the year.

wow, didn't realize you were thinking of moving abroad, jimbo! just be sure to renew your passport early as i hear it's gotten to be a very lengthy process.
