Thanks for the impression. Would you say the soundstage is like a sphere or just width?

Always wanted the fw1500 when I heard it has the same driver as fw10000 but from what I read its a lot different then it. So still debating..

It has a pretty good depth as well, I wouldn't say it is holographic enough to be a sphere though. But yeah, more of a sphere than just stretched wide.

I think it does sit between FW01 and FW10000 sound sig wise, a bit closer to FW01 though. The FW10000 I listened to is a bit bright, but very fluid and sweet. The FW1500 is not as fluid and sweet, a bit less refined overall.

Not many impression is published.
Maybe it is more popular in Japan or even Asia where It is released as fw1800.
But, it has different logo on it.

Even the FW1800 impression is rare. Haha... and yeah, different logo and not sure if both are made in Japan. The FW1500 looks to be made in Japan, at least based on the cable that has Japan printed on it.

Well, wouldn't expect to hear any differences either way.

Would love to hear more impressions. I loved the timbre of the FW01, but it was just too warm and muddy, but then also had kind of rough upper mids/treble, as I recall.

Has the 1500/1800 corrected both of these problems?

The FD01 modded was pretty good, but lacked bass texture and that great wood timbre.

Well, based on memory, it does to some extend. It would be better to be able to confirm it with my friend who have FW01, unfortunately we are under movement restriction right now.

If I understand right, the fw1500 does not have the same driver as the fw 10000, but some technologies for building an earphone are the same.

Won an auction in Japan. The first impression is a chic model, the sound signature is like an older brother of the fw01.

Found and took nobunaga labs kotetsu 2.5mm cable for 90$. With an excellent source, the potential of the fw1500 was revealed, with a medium-level source, a simplification of the sound is heard. Also i use it with ddhifi adapter dj44a, because now all my device have only 4.4mm hole.
Recommend!

Hi there. Did someone make any comparison between this and massdrop fwx 1800 ? As massdrop is known for that it takes a done model and making some cosmetic or small sound changes while the whole quality stays the same. So I suppose massdrop’s one could sound close to the original or may be more interesting.
