Any Faming Lips fans going to any Zaireeka parties? I just sent an email to my local(ish) indie record store to see if they're holding one.

the hi fi shop In Living Stereo, down in the Village, would be a perfect place to have a Zaireeka fest.

Wow, hard to believe it's been that long. The boom box experiments tour was a great thing. It inspired mixed emotions for me at the time, because it meant Ronald had left the band, but hard to argue with where the whole thing lead them. The Flaming Lips went from being a good, interesting, weird, fun band to the best pop band of their generation post Ronald. And they're spreading weirdness to the masses.
