So does the KAEDE have more treble emphasis than the SUI? Shigzeo said that it did in the beginning of this thread, and I just wanted to get a second opinion. The SUI has a harsh treble emphasis to my ears, more than the CK10, DBA-02, and IE800.

Yes it indeed does. I don't find the Suis treble to be harsh for the most part unless your tracks are crap then it really emphasizes it. The Kaede on the other hand is even less forgiving than the Sui and was a problem for me.

Is this an Ocharaku  signature?  I was curious if the Kuro presents treble in the same way?  Are you referring to crap format or crap master recording, or both?

The Kuro is more balanced than the Kaede. Highs are less bright and lower end reaches deeper. On poorly mastered tracks the highs on both do have problems. Especially the cymbals sounds scattered and fake.

Well in general yes. They are an energetic IEM. Very raw and emotional. They destroy poorly mastered material but to be honest that is because the material itself is crap. These IEMs are not the most forgiving. The Kaede being to the point where it became a problem for me as it was not doing well on a large amount of my music. So that took away from the music enjoyment. Nothing like an IEM tearing it up and removing you from the zone lol. It's hard to get back into it with that happening. The Sui on the other hand manages to be even more so smooth in its presentation and coming back down before it becomes a problem. Still on really bad recordings even the Sui will present problems but not like it was on the Kaede for me.
 
I haven't heard the Kuro but from what I gather it also has more emphasis on treble than the Sui. I don't think I'd be able to tolerate even that. The Sui is pretty much at my limit regarding emphasis on treble.
