Is there information about which processor is used by Tempotec X3? Maybe it is cheap because it has some old inefficient processor (say, Ingenic X1000 instead of Ingenic X2000), with all the resulting problems (lags during long playlist scrolling and such)?

Yeah that one would work if it had physical controls, I like to be able to pause skip through the pocket
You can assign functions to the wheel (1, 2 or 3 clicks for play, pause, skip ...).
Quite patrical through the pocket or when running

Does any chinese manufacturer make a screenless dap like the Zishan Z1 or the Walnut V2S? Had a hunt around Aliexpress and DHGate and can't find anyting still being manufactured other than the Altmann Tera but the price of that is rediculous.

I guess it based on HiBy software (known as HiBy OS) and has X1000/E SoC.
V6 is also based on HiBy's Android. V6 has Android build ID HiBy/R6/R6:8.1.0/<..>.
It looks like HiBy provides software for derivatives/partner brands like Tempotec, Hidizs, SMSL etc. I don't know any HiBy's or derivative's brand that goes to X2000 so there is no HiBy's software for new X2000 SoC platform yet. As I know Shanling is only 'early bird' that used X2000 in M1s, H7, etc.

I asked the seller and he said that it's indeed uses customized Hiby OS.
It has the same features as on hiby players including MSEB and EQ.

Seems logical - various sellers advertise that it supports Hibylink, so it must be Hiby OS. I did ask one of the sellers which processor the device has, and he told me that it is a technical secret which the manufacturer doesn't want to disclose. Anyway, I hope that it is at least X1000E and not plain X1000.

BTW, if somebody didn't notice: along with the aliexpress' "New Year Bliss" discount codes TempoTec V3 now costs just 129$.
