hmmm i wonder if thats what my ninja trained postie tried to deliver this morning?

seriously i dont get why they wont ever leave things with a neighbour anymore.

I'm pretty sure its not this yet. But I do agree with the neighbour comment.

its really frustrating, because they dont even give you the option to redilver the next day, its now two days.  so if i want tomorrow i have to go pick it up.  or i can have it come back and maybe miss it again or  get the option to pay 70P to send it to the post office, again though only in two days.

grrr its a little thing but really frustrating

My Postie was trained by a pub landlord on Thursday through to Sunday nights with pork scratchings and beer.

All depends on your neighbour.... On one side I have a very nice lady who is the perfect neighbour and we have both helped each other out in the past
when needed and then the other side of me I have Elvis the psycho who is a loon tune who has been a handful down the years with various other neigbours down our street.  So one side I have a scene from idyllic Neigbours "every one needs good Neighbours" that I can leave a parcel with and the other I have something that resembles a story line that makes Eastenders look tame and he won't answer the door to me but will do to my wife if he has taken in a parcel even though we have never had a personal run in with him.

Saying that these drop of points are becoming more popular like Amazon do or now on Fleabay has Argos drop of locations which can take away that potential issue if you happen to be near one at work etc...

No track number then on the card left through letterbox so you know if it was these or not?

Why not just have packages sent to work address?  At least with amazon you now have the option of having item left in secure place of choice.

Same here, but does not stop me having one next to me that is one card short of a full deck!  Good luck with receiving it soon anyway.

That's what I do if I know i'm going to be there at the work place which is very handy but not every one can or works at their actual base or work premises.

I'm looking forward to the day we can all receive a parcel within one hour of ordering from Amazon via a drone despite it might of taken down a 747 Jumbo out of the sky at least I would of got my Obravo's!

tbh i would settle for DPD taking over all parcel deliveries, they have the most awesome live tracknig of your parcel and they giv you an estimated windo of arrival that day and they wtell where you are in the drivers que.  its so awesome its puts everyone else to shame.

I dare not read your review yet Mark for fear of it influencing me but I look forward to reading it when I send the box to reviewer no.4. Can you or anyone else tell me what those those thin metal rods are meant to do? There are 6 of them in the case and the leaflet says they are ear tips. Who for, Frankenstein?

Thanks Phil, I knew they were something to do with the ear tips . Maybe it's to stop them getting lost or something , a more permanent home? Well I will let out of the bag a few first thoughts on the Obravos.

They are a good fit for my ears. The smallest comply fit far enough into my ear canal and they stay there without discomfort.  There are some silicone wings that can be inserted on each driver that sit behind the part of the earlobe that is just beside the entrance to the ear canal. This assists with holding the driver in place. The silicon wings are so soft you can't feel them pressing onto the ear lobe at all.
The fit from the cable to the shell is another really good design in my opinion. There is a considerable difference in the length between the driver shell and the cord cable compared to normal IEMs. This keeps the cable away and for once makes the straight down from the ears design not detract from the sound quality or fit. The cable doesn't wrap around the ears and get sweaty if you're working out. The snap fit between the driver and cable is a really solid connection and should never damage the driver or shell since it's far enough away from both. There is also lots of reinforcement around that connection which will eliminate any cable strain.

The Sound Quality is what many of you will want to know about of course.
There are many more hours to go yet with these and nothing can beat living with a set of phones for months and years and letting your ears tune into their unique signature blah blah blah but....

The bass on these Obravos is not an immediate strength and reminds me of the sound signature of the Etymotics. In other words I would go as far as saying they are bass shy. But the Obravos must not be immediately written off because of this.
I like a warm impactful bass and I can pretty much get there with EQing. I have an Ibasso DX100 and a Chord Mojo and with the Rock setting I was able to be 1/3rd of the way back in the crowd listening to Billy Joels Songs in the Attic and Stewart Copeland's drumming was right where it should be throughout Zenyatta Mondatta.
The bass will be the immediate thing most people will notice on these but it is there with work.
The mids and treble are the strong suit of these universals. There is a spaciousness to the sound that is very very pleasant to my tastes. There may be a slight peak in the treble that needs toning down particularly when multiple electric guitars start to merge into one another.
The Obravos benefit big time from amping . The Chord Mojo produces no hiss from them and starts to make them sing. My Fidelity Audio HPA200 SE is arguably slightly too powerful for them being a desktop headphone amp. Although the sound when running is superb even taking some of the sterile quality of the bass away, there is a noticeable degree of hiss which does intrude on quieter passages of music irrespective of volume.
I now intend to do some more listening and will see just how much power these IEMs can cope with. I am about to hook them up to my 50 WPC First Watt F5 Clone "The Mini Beast" Power Amplifier.
Cover me , I'm going in....

oh yeah i had a moan about theso things, the eventually i guessed were stands for the spare tips to sit in the box.  all for the sake of the first 5 seconds when you open then.  to they are a endemic of the problems with the thing, they have the most ridiculous stupid things yet have gaping, massive issues elsewhere.  it feels like they were build by commitee and by a bunch of people that were more concerned about getting their way in some internal company power play / office politics fight and that producing soemthing credible was nothing anyone cared less about.

i mean you just look at those stands, i mean they made F ing stands for silicone eartips!!!
