So I came home from school and put my iPod on the table like I usually do. While sitting down I reached for a paper and underestimated the height of my hand and knocked my iPod off the table. It dropped 3 feet 3 inches onto the tile floor and now won't boot.

Maybe, but an iAudio 7 is tempting me too. But I'm broke right now and still have Christmas presents yet to buy

Yea if the harddrive was on it would most definitly be dead because spinning plus shock = death

That is the downfall of hdd players

I like you am tempted by the I audio 7 too but I will wait for hit to hit 32gb or a full sized line out player to hit 32gb first probably

(if the ipod was off) (the HD should have been parked)

I've dropped mine before (on) and it's been fine. One of those things. All hope shouldn't be lost yet though ...
