Hi guys, I just got a colorfly c4. Still trying to find a good iem to pair with it. I had try jh 16 pro and the heir audio 5a and shure 535, but all seem way to bright. Anyone have any recommendation?

Thx in advance !

Heir 8.A bright? Are you really a basshead and sensitive to treble? How about the UM Merlin or the new Shure SE846 with bass filters?

Oops Sorry typo. i don have a chance to try the 8 a, but i try the 5a. It is very nice on vocal but when come to instruments with vocal, everything become too bright and messy.

i read review on the Heir 8.A & 5.a they say both sound quite the same, just that 8.A win in every aspect.

i haven try UM Merlin or the new Shure SE846.

How does it sound like with the colorfly c4?

you try them ?

I'm more or less the opposite of you. I like a slightly hot treble, but I have the UM Miracles, the more balanced version of the Merlins. The 8.As are also a nice warm CIEM.

Maybe, but from what I've read, the C4 is pretty neutral. I have the UM Miracle with Japanese DX100 and I don't find it bright at all!

Maybe you should try another DAP such as the HDP-R10 that I have because the 8.A certainly isn't bright.
