This noob will be in possession of Schiit Lyr in three weeks . It's my first ever amp and would like to know the best way to connect my iPhone 5 to Schiit Lyr .
 
Do i use a generic 3.5mm to RCA ?
 
Is there a specific adapter to use with iPhone 5
 
Please help this newbie

Yes a 3.5mm to RCA adapter would do the trick. I am not aware of any other way to connect the iPhone 5 to an amp.

I had the same question and I see this thread is new so if you don't mind I'll piggy back.  Isn't the output on the iPhone 5 already amplified?  There is no way to get a line out?

I managed to blow up my Schiit Lyr in India due to wrong voltage. Let me get my hands back on those and I shall be able to help.

I think the best way is:
iPhone5>PURE I-20 (with lighting to dock apt) alone or (much better):
PURE i-20 >BIFROST UBER>LYR.

Just get a 3.5mm to 2 male RCA out adaptor costs 0.3 USD in India, locally. Just Rs.20.
