Hello All 
First off its great to be part of a helpful and insightful community with similar interests.
This is my first posting here so apology's in advance if it sounds like I am unsure of what I am talking about. I am looking to purchase a portable DAP for playing my FLAC collection but mostly streaming from Spotify / Tidal. I also want to purchase over ear open back headphones for listening while at home.
I currently own a Fiio X5 2nd gen, Fiio Mont Blac amp and Shure 535 IEMs.
Spending this amount of money is a huge deal to me, so I really want to make sure that the items I have listed below will be compatible and the best bang for my buck. From my research and my budget I have my eyes on the following products:
DAP : either the Hiby R6 or the Fiio x5 3rd gen
Headphones : either shure 1840 or the Sennheiser HD 660s
I have the following questions that I am unable to resolve myself and would really appriciate some answers before I go throwing my credit card at something that may not be suited.
1. From the above 4 products is there anything that stands out as non compatible (example I understand the H6 has a very high output impeadence - would this effect my se535, se1840 or the senn hd660s?)
2. Using the above 4 potential products as a my budget guide, are there other products that I should look into that are in my price bracket ?
3. Would it also be worth upgrading my Fiio Mont Blanc amp ? if so, breiefly why ?
4. With regards to the headphones, I thought I may put a little bit of info as to what I like / dislike about my se535s to help you understand how my ears are tuned.
likes : Clarity, decent staging & not an over the top amount of bass
dislike : the vocals do not match the impact the instruments have on me, the sound can be clinical / nuetral
5. Will both headphones mentioned above work with balanced cables ? Would it be worth investing in balanced cables ?
6. Complete curve ball here but if I was to opt for a DAC to use with my LG v30 phone / random laptop would I end up with a better sound quality then the 2 above mentioned DAPs? (I have been looking at the iFi audio iDSD black label micro DSD DA convertor as its roughly the same price as the Hiby r6)
